Flor del Monte, Inc. is owned and operated by the mother-daughter team of Rosalva and Zenia Ruiz. It had always been a goal of Rosalva’s to have her own business. When the opportunity presented itself in 2002 to purchase a local flower shop, she did not hesitate. Several years later, her daughter Zenia decided to take on a more active role in managing the business while she finished her MBA. She quickly fell in love with the work and became a permanent fixture at the shop.

Since its inception, Flor del Monte, Inc. has grown into a successful business that strives to earn a reputation in floral design that reflects the staff’s high standards for quality, service and creativity. Flor del Monte, Inc. takes pride in having a staff of strong, talented women that all share a love for flowers.

Flor del Monte, Inc. is an active member of the community and was honored to serve as the floral sponsor of Junior Achievement’s 2008 Chicago Business Hall of Fame. It is also proud partners with select event vendors in the Chicago area including Bake for Me and the W Chicago Lakeshore Hotel.
